FRC Robot Prototyping

  • Explored mechanisms for a game requiring large inflated balls to be scored in a high goal; evaluated vacuum suction, claw, and roller-intake concepts against reliability, weight, and cycle-time criteria.

  • Eesigned and built a vertical single-wheel intake combined with a belted elevator, providing enough height for scoring.

  • Rapid-prototyped in the wood shop to prove geometry for the elevator.

  • Integrated the mechanism on the competition robot and field-tested it through drive practice; competed at an international event.
